Quicksilver, Super Magnetic 4 inch tin
Commonly known as quicksilver, mercury is the only metallic element that is a liquid at room temperature.
It’s a heavy, silver-colored metal that has been historically used for temperature gauges and electrical applications because of its conductive properties.
Just like its namesake, Quicksilver Thinking Putty is a saturated silver color with dark streaks throughout.
Use the included magnet to discover the unique properties of this putty for yourself.
Each tin includes 1/5 lb of Quicksilver Thinking Putty—a huge handful for tons of fun—and a 1" x 1" ceramic magnet.

Comes with super strong large ceramic magnet in the tin.
When a strong magnet is held close to our Quicksilver Thinking Putty, you probably won't feel anything at first. Fear not. Close your eyes and count to five. Pop! WOW! This is strong stuff. The strength will continue to increase as the magnetic field expands throughout the entire piece of putty over time.
Once Quicksilver is charged by a magnet, you can flip it backwards to feel it actively repel the magnet. Hold it in place against the repulsion and count to five. Pop! The magnetic poles of the Thinking Putty flip again and it morphs from repulsion to attraction.

Can Quicksilver pick up tacks and paperclips?
Yes. After Quicksilver is charged by your strong magnet, it will lift paperclips, tacks, and other lightweight ferrous materials. It can even magnetize small metal objects on its own.

Are bigger magnets better?
The stronger the magnet, the more powerful an effect you'll feel from Quicksilver. The magnets we sell are the same magnets shown in our new Super Magnetic video. They are very strong and, in our opinion, represent a nice balance between strength and safety.
However, if you feel like you can mind your fingers and your tender flesh, you can purchase even stronger magnets on your own. Be careful! Keep in mind that stronger third party magnets are NOT for children and are NOT toys.
